Right from the get-go the Erik introduced itself not as a specimen tailored for colors, cruising speeds, expression, charm and tone, but the exact opposite type. It offered authoritative big-bore very muscular flavor designed for wicked slams, dynamic prowess, authoritative rapid bursts, overall freshness and willingness to casually go very loud. This particularly exciting highly propulsive gearing and overall ease are typical for open baffles and today’s performer clearly belongs to the same club. Upon looking at its humble external appearance one honestly couldn’t tell, and that in fact is this story’s key plot twist. Petite vented boxes such as this one simply aren’t known for fully open large-scale acts as described, but Michał’s latest effort had more in common with the dipole kind than I had initially suspected.

Trudno byłoby powiedzieć, ze Intrada Claude to kolumny tanie. Niemniej, w relacji do utytułowanej konkurencji ich cena jest nie tylko uzasadniona, ale w naszym odczuciu wręcz atrakcyjna. To kolumny wysoce uniwersalne, spójne i równe. Nie epatują basem, są żywe, komunikatywne, angażujące i rytmiczne. „Zagrają” z kilkusetwatowym tranzystorem, ale i 10-watowym SET-em na 300B (o ile nie wymagamy wysokich poziomów SPL). Obiektywnie bardziej pasują do nich te pierwsze konstrukcje (impedancja), ale z lampa single-ended możemy poczuć swoistą magię tego połączenia. Takich kolumn wcale nie ma na rynku zbyt wiele, a pośród tych, które są dostępne i porównywalne klasą, większość kosztuje znacznie więcej.
